Meet The Team Behind Leatherman Healthcare
Gwenn Leatherman | DNP, APRN, FNP-BC
Gwenn is an ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a role she has held since 2016. Originally from Wolfsville, MD, she has called Washington County home for over 10 years. She graduated from Middletown High School and still maintains close ties to the area.
Nursing has always been her passion. After earning her RN from Frederick Community College in 2009, she gained diverse experience in the ER, interventional radiology, PACU, med-surgical, and long-term care. She completed her BSN at the University of Notre Dame of MD in 2012, followed by her Master’s in Family Practice at Shenandoah University in 2016. In 2020, she earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Shenandoah and currently serves as an adjunct professor, precepting FNP students from the university.
Her experience spans family practice, internal medicine, long-term care, hospice, and assisted living.
Outside of work, she and her husband, Howard, enjoy walking and biking along the canal or hiking the Appalachian Trail, a passion sparked during the pandemic. Their daughter, Emily, and her husband, Brice, live in Hedgesville with their 2 dogs, 3 cats, 20+ chickens, and a donkey. They are often found helping around the office as the practice grows.

Christina Quin | CRNP
Christina is dual board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through both the ANCC and AANP. Originally from Severna Park, Maryland, she has called Boonsboro home since 2015. Her passion for healthcare deepened during the COVID-19 pandemic, inspiring her to pursue a more patient-centered approach to care—focused on accessibility, connection, and long-term relationships.
She began her career in women’s health, working as a scrub tech and spending over 13 years as a labor and delivery nurse. Before joining Leatherman Healthcare, she practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in a women’s health clinic. These experiences continue to shape her compassionate, listening-first approach to primary care.
She now provides family-focused care to the Hagerstown area and surrounding communities. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, visiting her two college-aged children, and relaxing at the beach with her husband and their two beloved long-haired Chihuahuas, Devi and Cooper.
Emily Beachley | Practice Director
Emily is the practice director. She oversees the day to day operations of the office as well as implementing new and exciting projects. Emily coordinates communication with the billing department to ensure accuracy and timely billing, as well as the overall financial health of the business. She manages the scheduling to ensure patients receive the appropriate time with the providers. When she isn’t working, Emily loves spending her free time with her husband and their black lab.
